Princess of the Seas

Behold the Visitor Mysterious
Princess of the Ancient Seas-
of the shimmering ripples
and the placid skies
of the crescent moon
and the mellow sunrise

See this princess wondrously behold
a way of life not quite like the old
An age away from the hustle of time
a world potent with life and rhyme

Lazy dreams awake to a hazy morn
the aroma of dawn and curried prawn
(now here, sadly, this bad poet need ferret
some rhyming word to complete this quartet )

- Phew ! -

The unhurried life of humans with no goal
the fatalistic surrender to the karmic soul
If life has a purpose beyond death, she muses
does it matter if all wealth or even love, one loses?

In a blinding flash
Of numbing Insight:
the Cosmic Dance
the Quest for the Light
the Selfless Soul
the zest for the Right.

The Smile-
in the sunken eyes of a street urchin
the Rayban-
on a gold toothed diamond merchant
the Hope-
in the fire eaten ruins of a shanty slum
the Rose-
on the unclaimed corpse of a bum.

The Paradox Rules
the impossible is the only possible
0ne billion prayers
10 million gods
children scream
women bargain
men letch and spit
life abuse
amuse.

The visitor holds a full palette
and her vision is ripe,
while the canvas remains
strangely empty.
